More Turf

                FieldTurf continues with their installation.
Teichert of Stockton completes a path around the arena, and Gregory Reed's 7/11 Materials brings in the concrete, yards of it!

The FieldTurf crew maneuvers the centerpiece, the Mustang logo, for a proper fitting into an  area that has been precisely clipped and measured to hold it.

The turf is clipped with the help of a six foot wooden stencil (see insert) to set permanent yard line markers.  White turf will be inserted into the exposed area.

Hot glue, 350+ degrees, is shot via a glue gun into the open area, and the white turf yard markers are carefully set into place. This takes real teamwork.

Dave Bacigalupi, Rob Becker, and Warren McClung make sure that everyone is on the same page and that the project is proceeding on schedule.

Tony Machen, Concrete supervisor for Teichert of Stockton goes over some current specs with Phil Wilder. 7/11 Materials is the provider of the cement.

Turf installation is not the only thing that's happening at this late stage. The Teichert cement crew start their prep work by setting forms that will  encircle the entire track with a fine paved walk.

The Teichert cement crew take five with foreman, Gildardo Varela (2nd from right). They will be  forming  the perfect pathway for fans around the sports arena.

Mike Bacigalupi, track coach at OHS covers some possibilities with Rob Becker of Becker CM Services.  Mike and his brother Dave combine their skills to coach the OHS fine track squad.

All Commercial Fence provided the fencing that borders the walkway that encircles the entire sports field.

Gregory Reed's 7/11 Materials provided all the cement for this entire project.  McClung and Becker look on.

The FieldTurf crew is family oriented. Bill and Kathy Branham have been with the team for nine years.

The sidelines get a close trim.  There is no area on the playing field that does not require a precision cut to fit.
