The Corral Needs Fixing
Committee “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." These words of wisdom stated years ago by the late Walt Disney form the basis for a philosophical truth that the committee to fund the monies needed to build a new all weather track and football field at Oakdale High School are going by. We are pleased to introduce to you The Corral Needs Fixing Committee. Our dream is to raise 1.2 million dollars by private donations, and or in kind work, within our community to build an absolutely beautiful and much needed state of the art all weather track and synthetic football field. The Oakdale community and its surrounding communities are a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Our children and our communities deserve nothing but the best. When this entire project is completed it will include not only the track and field but a magnificent wall with engraved plaques (the size will depend on the amount of the donation) listing the individuals, families and businesses that contributed to this worthy effort. The wall will stand as a monument for decades to come letting our citizens and others know the power and the passion of the people and the businesses of our community. Here in Oakdale our traditions are important. We must keep our legends alive. This is a great project that will be built in its entirety by and because a group of people truly care, the Oakdale community. The Corral Needs Fixing Committee is a non-profit organization. It is the promise of this committee that all monies donated to this wonderful cause will not only be tax deductible, but will go directly to the building of the track, the football field, the donor wall, and only those expenses that these entities incur. We are always asking our kids to concentrate, to focus, and to build on what they can do, and not to be concerned about what they cannot do. And, in like manner we are asking our community to do the same. The project has begun and the field and track will be ready for the upcoming seasons, but we still need donations to fulfill our commitment.
